Sweat

The "human cost" of deindustrialization in sweat  From 2000 - 2008 something horrible happened in the United states' economy the "great recession" which is a play on the words for "great depression". "Sweat" the play is taking place during the  deindustrialization.  The story surrounds itself with a group of people that work in the same industry.  Each of them had experienced some kind of unfairness during their years in the company. Stan, for example, has worked on the floor with machines, one unfortunate time he injured his leg leaving him "cippled" and the company hasn't fixed the machine until some later years.  None of them have moved from the floor they worked on for more than 20 years.  It wasn't until Cynthia moved from the floor to management, at the same time Tracy found out that the company is planning to cut people off and hire new workers.  Sometime later Cynthia tells her friends that the magn]ment wants to sh

Women were written by biases

Women were written by biases How does Fitzgerald show his biases in his book Throughout history, women have been viewed as objects. She opened her eyes as she started to shine, a mysterious green light was spreading hope in Gatsby's life. As Gatsby looked into her eyes he saw a life that was desired, he reached so far, but couldn't grasp the mistress in his blurry eyes. Chapter one It was a dark day and Gatsby went for a walk. He didn't know what he was going to encounter. As he walked by his glorious kingdom that was built from the ashes, he caught a peculiar sight. At the far end of the lake he saw a beautiful, mysterious light, she wasn't like any other light, she was green, joyful, and full of hope. As he approached the shore, Gatsby was mesmerized by the beautiful yet deadly light. As he went closer and closer, till he could feel the water
